Telepsychiatry reduces healthcare costs, waiting times, security risks for transfers and external consultations, and mental health while commensurately increasing the quality of psychiatric care. These services are needed to determine competency for court, standardize mental health between sites, and provide long distance oversight of social workers and psychologists. These reasons make maximum economic use of existing broadband telecommunication networks.

DIANA provides the necessary Telepsychiatry equipment to include a camera, a monitor, the communications equipment and software necessary for real-time interactive video conferencing as well as store and forward sessions.

DIANA provides psychiatric consultation by board certified psychiatrists on a scheduled basis to meet the clinical volume requirement identified by the site(s). 24x7 Electronic results of each consultation are forwarded to the patient site for inclusion in the medical record.

Audio access to language interpretation service can also be integrated into the telepsychiatry system.
